April 18, 2024—Did you know that there is a website for Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) Known Issues?

In 2023, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) transitioned from the Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (QIES) to the Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) Reports User Manual (iQIES). The iQIES system now provides access to MDS submissions and several important reports (including MDS, QM, QRP, VBP, and Non-Compliance letters).

Since then, several issues have been identified related to data or calculations. Most recently, a calculation issue has been identified in the MDS 3.0 Facility-Level and Resident-Level QM Reports for the ADL Increased (N028.03) and Ability to Walk Independently Worsened (N035.04) measures.

The Known Issues Log is a resource that can help you stay alerted to and informed about iQIES-related system or reporting issues. If an issue is encountered, you can review the issues log to determine whether it has already been reported.

You can also access the Technical Support Office for a variety of resources related to iQIES.

If you have any additional questions, you can contact the iQIES help desk at iqies@cms.hhs.gov or by phone: 800-339-9313.
